About

Passage is a futuristic short film which explores the thin boundary between reality and virtual dream through dance. It's the end product of Théoriz's mixed reality research project whose RnD test video was praised and seen by millions on social media.

Tech details

All VFX are computed in real time on set. The 3D scene is rendered in Unity then sent to Resolume Arena to be displayed on set by 6 video projectors. The camera is tracked with a Vive tracker and the dancers are tracked with Augmenta.

Credits

It was designed by Jonathan Richer and David-Alexandre Chanel and put together by a team of talented people including Théoriz research team composed of Benjamin Kuperberg, Alex Bourgeois, Félix Cote and myself (see video for complete credits).
